Things to do...

Things to do...

Well I hope you like what I did for today's post...well you have to like it because I worked extra hard on it...LOL

Anyway its not easy, breaking up is very hard to do...I guess it takes time for wounds to heal for things to settle down...Right now the emotions are too raw for you two to talk or meet. Well I listed some of your suggestions and lets see how I faired.

1. Take him down that pedestal - Well I'm not saying that it was wrong for you to put him up there in the first place. But you have to realize when its over and when to move on. And the first step in moving on is taking him down the pedestal and to accept that he is not the perfect adonis you envisioned. He has his flaws and we were just so much in love that we forget to see them or we bend over (I'm sure you girls would love that) and accept it. I'm not saying we don't have flaws, all I want to tell you guys is when you are in love you look past these things, and when its over you have to remember to take him down that pedestal, its the first step to moving on.

2. Get drunk - Lets see, when my friends were here last week, I went home intoxicated for 5 days straight. So I guess that qualifies...well if you guys plan to do this, just make you get home alive...

3. Find closure - now this is tricky...for me I've found closure in J's blog. He wrote there that he met a new friend that night we broke up and even wrote there that he misses him so much. A week later he is going out with an aussie expat. Well it had "Move on already" written all over it.

4. Retail Therapy - Oh dear, thankful I'm not in Singapore, Hong Kong or Bangkok or I would have maxed out all my credit card, used up all my savings...its a good thing that I was very careful in spending but then again I guess when I bought my new E90 cellphone, it was enough of a retail therapy for me.

5. Cease all contacts - I have not spoken to him since last week, he still texts me but I don't answer his calls. Sometimes I reply to his text but I'm very clear that one I need time and two I need to move on.

6. Get a haircut - Oh and I colored my hair...I went to the salon yesterday and asked for a new look, part of it is coloring my hair to something like chestnut-ty brown...it works well for the summer.

7. Throw away anything that reminds you of him - Hmmmm I'm not someone that throws away stuff, so I just keep them. I've always kept Elmo in a cabinet because Sophie might chew on him. I was wearing our bracelet up until Bangkok, its back in its box now...I don't know what to do with it...throwing away is not an option, I doubt I could pawn it (LOL) so I'm just keeping it in it's box in the cabinet. My ODM watch is sitting on my desk, I had a scrolling message that says "Forever's not to far" programmed into it...so now I have to wait for me to go back to Singapore to get it reprogrammed. Anyway if you feel wasteful feel free to throw his stuff out or take it to Salvation Army.

8. Hang out with friends - Went out 5 days straight with my friends, Thursday was spent at home, Friday was about the same and Saturday too. It's good that you surround yourself with a good support group. I really hope J has one...I wouldn't know what would have happened to me without my friends.

9. Go on vacation - Does the Bangkok trip count? I don't think so...I'm trying to plan for one, just need to make sure I have enough funds for it. LOL....yes by now you guys would have already known I spend a lot of my trips....

10. Start a new hobbie - Well I'm not a big fan of one...but I really want to seriously take up photography. I have an SLR with me so its just a matter of learning it again. Who knows I might start my own collection of photos and not just borrow from other people. And maybe start my own Asian Porn company.

11. Go to the spa - I did that...but somehow a woman's tough is different, not enough pressure...Maybe I should look for an all male spa...YEY for me! But seriously don't underestimate the effects of a good massage...you will feel better in no time.

12. Watch a Male strip show - Well my friend who was just here took me to one...it was funny, I was really feeling down and they thought going to a male strip show would cheer me up...Well it did but its not because of the boys, its the company. We had fun, pointing out our favorites, unfortunately they don't go completely naked so it wasn't really anything exciting.

13. Hook up with a random guy - get your rocks off...one way or the other...I think I should try it...or maybe I have already and I'm just not telling you guys...LOL...well keep on thinking.

As you can see I'm more inspired now than yesterday. I hope this continues and things work out for the best. J wanted to tell me something in person today but I told him no.

Well that's about it...I have to run to meet with my team at the office because we have a presentation tomorrow which we are preparing for.

Oh I found this song...it's weird that they placed scenes from Bambi, but the song is sure nice and appropriate.

Excellent post!

I think we all put our loves on a pedestal at first, before reality says different.

And yes, screw that random guy. Screw the hell out of him! Nothing makes us feel better about a break up than the transition guy.

Like I said before, you'll be fine .....

I agree with Taylor, 'healing' takes many forms.. if you want to chase the blues away.. get busy with somebody new.
